Nikwax Rug Proof – When your factory waterproofing has diminished I recommend waterproofing your blanket with Nikwax Rug Proof annually. Your blanket must be clean prior to applying the Rug Proof. Nikwax recommends washing your blanket with RugWash prior to applying the Rug Proof for best results. The Rug Proof is applied in the washing machine immediately after cleaning.
